I'm guessing that these club teams receive very little, if any, financial support from the University.

They used to get uniforms paid for and a gear bag. Travel to games within the state were done on your own dime but the university paid for the team to go to national tournaments (if qualified) and also provided food.
With all the higher ed cuts they probably get a lot less. i will snag a shirt.

I played against them when I played for the Lamar Men's Club Team. Nice guys and I'll get a shirt to support! We raised our funds by setting up the field for the Women's Soccer team (NCAA affiliated) and still barely had enough to get by. Was fun to put on the school colors and represent our University!

The fact that LSU doesn’t have nationally competitive soccer teams is an abortion of a travesty.
