Considering a hard shell roof carrier. Are they noisy? Suggestions?

I would like to know the same. We had a rooftop pod as a kid, but I don't know if that's still the best option.

Get a hitch hauler first and if you need more room go roof.
Hitch is SOOOOO much easier to load and unload, the only negative is it doesn't allow access to your rear door. We throw plastic bins on the hitch hauler and fill them with stuff. That way they are mostly waterproof.
Be careful with the roof carrier's as many of them will not fit under fast food windows, banks, parking garages, etc.

No shite? Where are you going, why are you bringing so much shite, and do you have pics of your loaded down vehicle?

It just frees up room inside the vehicle.
