Not sacked. Promoted to Leipzig. Some predicting this just another step in the direction of USMNT manager post.

So long Tyler Adams...

Whoa that's big if Marsch is the head man at Leipzig.

Doesn't Leipzig already have a manager coming in in 2019?

Is this the 2018/2019 lifelong RBL fan check-in thread?

Right....which just seems odd to me for a manager to take a position like that. I guess he looks at it as a chance to manage in the Bundesliga regardless of it only being for a year, max.

If he does well, someone else will hire him.

He was just named assistant manager, but he was given a 2 year contract.

Yeah that might be better in the long run for him. A chance to work with Nagelsmann will be very big for his career.

Geez. Being an assistant for one year in Bundesliga is better than being the head coach in MLS? I guess, but I didn't think coaching quite worked like that.

Next year if he really stays on, he'll get to work with the hottest young coaching name in the world. Nagelsmann is only 30 years old and he's been highly successful in the Bundesliga for a few years now. He'll learn a lot and gain valuable big time European experience. Hopefully it'll lead to a head job soon. O

Bradley has done fine when he’s taken jobs that he wasn’t set up to fail in the moment he signed (Swansea)

And why exactly would the new manager keep him on? Unless I'm mistaken, new managers don't keep a lot of hold over staff, especially when he's only been there a year and has no real attachment to the club.

It'd be great if he stayed, but I'll be shocked if he does. I also hope that he gets a real shot at a high level. He's a good coach for sure. Always had a team outplay other teams despite differences in wages and talent.
