It kills me when he goes off about the dude starting Tyrell Williams

Sometimes Matthew Berry is all of us

Damn, I didn't know he posts here

Some of us take this way too seriously and then I take it way more serious than that. My family thinks I have a sickness with it.

Matthew berry is a fricking idiot. He’s wrong EVERY week. He also talks over the other members in the podcast and won’t shut the frick up. For the life of me I can’t figure out how his ugly dumbass has that job.

He'd be the first to tell you that there are much better analysts out there than him. He's just a decent analyst, but he's a very good writer, and he's entertaining to read, which makes him far more marketable than almost all the other fantasy analysts out there (and certainly makes him stand out in a sea of sameness). You just come off as a jealous a-hole.

I’m sorry. I can’t stand his podcast. I like the other three. He just comes off as a self absorbed arse.

Berry got a lot of flack for saying start Alfred Morris after we were told all week that Breida wouldn’t play. I left Breida on my bench but didn’t start Morris although I needed Breida. Did he say he’s lost five in a row though? Maybe I need to mute his analysis. He’s rat poison.

He has his job bc he’s entertaining and a good writer. His analysis isn’t fantastic by any stretch. But he’s a lot more enjoyable to listen to than Field or Mike Clay

Fantasy spots is a lot like poker. In the short term, a good bit of luck in one hand. Or a one week matchup. I can sit down and beat Phil Ivey heads up. But if we play 10 times he will win 8 or 9. Your highly skilled fantasy players will become apparent over time. As the sample size gets larger and larger they will separate themselves from the pack.

I won because Morris didn't do anything. I was down 15, I picked up Crosby after his debacle the week before and was playing against Morris. The final field goal but me ahead by 2.

That's spot on, B.

This is true. In a single league you can't help if your first round pick has an acl early in the season for example. But over time or with a sample of enough leagues then some luck can be filtered out, and there will be a tendency. In my home league while people do have years that are up and down the same group of people tend to be playoff teams, and the same group tend to be bottom feeders.
But I play for fun, so I don't care enough to diversify into a bunch of leagues. Keeping just 1 or 2 leagues is more fun for me.

Not skill. Persistence. I work the waiver wire, and try to catch the other members sleeping. I picked up Conner when I read the Bell news and nobody else did. I’m first in all three leagues rn and I don’t have Gurley in either one of them. Because I work the waiver wire so much, I often pick up shitty players, but I’ve also struck gold. I picked up Kamara around week 3 last year and that is where my luck picked up. This week I picked up D’Onta Foreman and I hope that works out. He’s more talented than both Lamar Miller and Blue.
There are other kinds of people that don’t GAF about fantasy past setting lineups. They keep the same defenses and kickers, and only work the byes. I’ve never been like that although I wish I was sometimes.
