Rewatched all of the original trilogy recently. So good.
Supposedly there’s a decent chance at Pirates 6 to end the tale of Jack Sparrow

Markets likely open flat to green. This situation clears up a lot of the concern from the market previously, turning uncertainty into knowns. Regime change is certain now, Khamenei is dead. IRGC will fizzle out as more and more leaders are killed. They will probably leave Iran and split off as something like ISIS. Only significant risk is the insurance situation in the Strait. I think that could be cleared up quickly.
Remember that Venezuela was extremely comparable, and market opened bigly green the next Monday. This is not as clean as Venezuela but it’s gone pretty well.

Matt Bowers CDJR tried to rip me off buying a truck years ago.
Negotiated and agreed upon final sale price and down payment, shook hands with the manager, then those scumbags bring the form for you to sign and tried to make a quick pass on me by saying “its what we agreed to, sign here” - only they swapped numbers so the “total to be financed” was the sale price we agreed to. Would have had be paying way over sticker price for the truck. I called them out on it nicely and they went to “correct” it. Salesman comes back and says “no we can’t do that sale price anymore”. I said “the frick you cant, or everyone else in here and the BBB will know y’all are backing out of a handshake agreement after you tried to scam me”. Sent that salesman scurrying back and finally got the correct sheet on what we agreed to and looking all sad.
I did go through with it bc I expect dealers to be scumbags so I don’t expect anything different at another dealer

Silver’s cooking now. Above all major moving averages again. Should test the highs if not exceed them. I had added extra SLV calls on the dip yesterday. I know some have concerns about playing SLV but I’m willing to risk it

I have zero faith they are even preparing for this. They are so so self absorbed in grifting and getting rich and pwning each other they could give a frick about us. I worry that let’s just say by some miracle I keep my job but many don’t, that’s going to turn good neighborhoods and schools bad eventually. Nice areas could start looking like the rust belt. I really hope I’m overreacting.
There will be a time period between majority of white collar people losing their jobs and UBI. This will be the time that really separates the rich or “well off” in the future vs the poor.
An upper middle class family loses their jobs fairly early on - they continue to spend too much while politicians promise UBI is coming. 1 year later they’ve burnt through everything they have, and finally here comes the low baseline of UBI. They end up with keeping their nicer house, but can no longer afford to upgrade their lifestyle, and they can’t afford nice vacations ever again. There’s not enough ways to save money or make more money now.
Vs
A different family also upper middle class work with AI better than most. They keep their jobs til after UBI starts. Their money lasts much longer and they’re able to afford a better lifestyle for longer. They can afford nice vacations on the money they saved up

Do you really think our scumbag tech leaders will be paying UBI sufficient for 350 million people?
Sufficient? Yes. Enough for basic food, water, shelter, and a bit of money to spend. But that’s probably all it would be for generations, eventually pushing towards a median where no one is wealthy or poor as the rich have their money split between descendants. No one will get rich or feel good on UBI

I didn’t even realize Manieri un-retired. Terrible mistake. He was obviously tired and done at LSU and the game has passed him by. Very reminiscent of Les to Kansas
Classic Manieri is losing a mid week game to a clearly inferior opponent though
What has happened to USCar? They were so good in baseball in most of 2010s

I still believe in tGeneral. He would bring our program to glory with no restrictions on paying players. He had our program moving forward and getting better every year until the BS NCAA investigations and Woodward bending over for the NCAA

I'm arguing that one constant across eras is our propensity to believe that what we're about to experience is "different" and poses bigger and scarier challenges than anything before. And another constant that history says we can count on is this - the economy's capacity to adapt, reorganize, and redeploy to harness revolutionary productivity tools is always underestimated by the so-called experts going in.
There is an eventuality where AI and physical AI (robots) take everyone’s jobs. They work 24/7 without tiring, losing motivation, taking bathroom breaks, cost less, etc. Eventually they will be able to do every job. That could be hundreds of years from now, but the pace of advancement does appear to be pushing that long term future closer and closer. I think Citrini is pushing things too soon here, but I don’t think they’re wrong on how things eventually work out. Robots are stronger than us or more accurate than us. They can replace both surgeons and manual labor efficiently. AI’s ability to tackle tasks is increasing at a rapid rate, and theyre able to perform some tasks much faster than humans now. There’s a progression that will happen, but eventually it will replace everyone

I’m 32 with a white collar job, low chance I make it to a normal retirement age. I’m already on pace for an early retirement but need to keep progressing faster to make it out before AI forces me out.
I also believe eventually everyone will be on a UBI, but I expect there will be class differences based on what class you were in BEFORE UBI - meaning the rich will stay rich, the poor will stay poor but have their basic needs met, and the in between will wash out to the poor side if AI takes their jobs too soon. Most of us are at risk as being in the middle and need to take advantage of the earning years we have left. Once AI has taken our jobs, there will be no mechanism for making money greater than UBI, so there won’t be a way to increase your financial status

If his company or naval division is doing what they should be doing, he’s rarely ever touching a foot down on an actual vessel. He has a lower paid staff member that goes and does the field stuff while the architect is a desk jockey to maximize his value - for now

Architect and a surgeon? Y’all are ripe for the replacement. AI will be able to draw some pictures with more accurate measurements than you, and robotic surgery is already making leaps and bounds with AI enhancement. Soon the AI will be doing the surgery and your wife will be supervising. Then they’ll just get rid of your wife
