It’s your personal preference but I truly like the fois gras and the curried bisque soup...really can’t go wrong it’s a great menu!

Fois Gras
Carpaccio
Crab and beet
Wagyu
Bananas Foster

I say that because you can get a few of those I didn’t list in the other restaurants. They will also have an amuse bouche and a palate cleanser so it is closer to 7 courses. Also, wine by the bottle is generally pretty damn cheap.

Ask if you can go see the wine cellars... pretty cool. Also make sure to have a night cap in the turtle bar.

Should be an awesome night, langolis is back or will be soon, I expect to see lots of new things
The pumpkin soup , even though it sounds weird is something to try, the crab and beet salad is fantastic , I have had both the lamb and the lobster and both were terrific, but anything you choose will be great, I suggest you and your wife order different items and sample as much as you can

To start we had a driver for the night knowing that my wife and I were both going to the wine pairing with the menu. That being said the driver was more expensive than the dinner, well worth it since uber will not pick you up in that area.

We started the night off at the Turtle bar, I had an outstanding old fashion and the wife had a glass of the house cab, Ramsey. They had two TVs in the sitting area both showing the Bama v UGA game. There was one very loud and obnoxious female bama fan who cheered, clapped, and yelled no matter what happened. Eventually someone told her to shut up and that people are trying to enjoy a drink and their evening. She didn’t cheer much after that.

Please forgive my description of the dinner, I am not known to elaborate on what I like and don’t like. Like I mentioned we both did the 5-course dinner with the wine pairing.

Appetizers: I ordered the Foie Gras, the Foie Gras itself was delicious, I found the French toast it was served on a little too sweet. She ordered the Crab Cake and it was amazing, little to no breading and tons of crab and it was the size of an entrée.

Soups: I had the Bisque of Curried Pumpkin, Crawfish and Corn, which I enjoyed more then the Foie Gras and it was loaded with crawfish. Wife had the Duck and Mushroom Cappuccino a very earthy taste but wasn’t my cup of tea.

Salads: I had the crab salad, the pieces of crab were delicious and huge, mixed with a little mayo lemon and garlic. Do not believe I had any of the lettuce but the beets had a great flavor. She had the house salad and I only ate the blue cheese from it.

Entrees: I had the Wagyu Beef Medium Rare and it was one the best steaks I have had in a long time and would/will order it again. The wife had the fish special which was Blue Snapper, I like the thickness and size of the fish but thought it was just ok. She said she would not order the fish special again and get a staple on the menu.

Desserts: I had the White Chocolate Bread pudding and it was great. She had the Banana Foster Split, it had a great taste but very boozy on the back of the tongue. That’s saying a lot because I enjoy booze.

After dinner we walked around the grounds and had night cap at the turtle bar before heading home. The experience, ambiance, and the food are well worth the trip and the money. I would like to go with a larger group next time to get more of the menu.
