for doing the same. Loyalty is a double-edged sword. You can't demand it one breath while not giving it the other.

It is sad that Williams' last down as a Tiger will have been played, but once they made college football such a money driven endeavor, you can't blame the kids.

Sad thing is this will just be another built in excuse if the unthinkable happens and LSU loses to UCF. If you are playing for something meaningful in your bowl game like championships, the players won't sit out.

people do fault coaches in many instances for leaving, but at the same time, there are plenty of coaches that finish out the season before bolting. Just like players, some choose not to finish their bowl games while other choose to finish what they started.

the sad thing is, many of the same people not caring that Greedy is leaving instead of playing in a "glorified exhibition" will also lose their collective shite if we lose to UCF.

You can be upset that he is skipping the bowl game without trashing him and calling him a quitter. I hate to see him go. But at the same time I understand / respect his decision, and I look forward to watching him succeed in the NFL.

I don’t know if I understand the point you’re trying to make. Are you saying there’s a double standard for coaches? Because I don’t remember Louisiana cutting Nick Saban any slack when he did what was in his “best interest”...

Well he is a quitter in this instance. He may have rationalized that quitting is ok here, but he’s still quitting.
