If we trade with Lakers and Detroit is the third team, but they wanted Ingram. Would you be opposed if the trade for us was Ball, Kuzma, Griffin, future Lakers pick and Detroit pick.

Ingram and 4th pick go to Detroit

Picks may be switched. Not sure.

Just asking.

NOTE - This is HYPOTHETICAL, if the table was turned where we did not get Ingram or the 4th pick.. not saying this is the trade discussed.

Detroit pick meaning it could be a future second. Lakers future could also go to Detroit.

I'm not opposed to Blake as much as I would be opposed to the Pistons getting Ingram AND #4 out of the deal. At least one out of Ingram/#4 would have to be swapped with Ball/Kuzma.

If the return was Griffin, Ingram, 4th pick, and a future pick? Sure. But getting Griffin and no Ingram is just dumb

I like Griffin's framework of a current All Star level player, a future potential All Star, and picks. Ingram is the future potential All Star on the Lakers in that context so any deal they do with the Pels probably needs to send him to NOLA. Ball and Kuzma are the pieces that go out to be flipped for other assets.

I would take Blake, but the Pistons would have to pay me a hell of alot to do it. I actually think he and Zion would be a great pair, but his contract is terrible.

We have engaged in heavy trade discussions with a three team deal involving Detroit and LA. Not sure what players were mentioned, but if you do the math, the only All-Star is Blake or potentially Drummond.

Not saying this will happen, but you should start hearing the leaks about it soon.

I want Beal! But it is going to be REALLY hard to get him.

Also, AD is a positive asset, where Blake is a negative due to age and contract size. So in the OP's scenario, we would be getting Ingram and the 4th pick and Blake.

So for a superstar (AD), we get two guys that don't want to be here and are the lower 2 of the 3 from LAL (which means they would want out at the end of their contracts), and a Blake Griffin who is a beast but is closer to the end of his career than the beginning?

And that's fine. But we can't take Blake and not get either the 4th or Ingram. Give them Kuzma and we get Ingram and/or the 4th.

The difference is that Drummond is an asset and Blake isn’t as of now.

Griffin, Ingram, Lakers 2021 and the 4th pick would be a fine return.

This is actually the kind of trade I anticipate.

The whole point of this post was to suggest if the table was switched. In which, we did not receive Ingram (who everyone seems to be in love with). I was asking if it was switched around, would you still do this trade. Not saying that is the trade offer. I was simply making a discussion. But the just of this if you haven't caught on is the potential of a three team deal with these teams. You can play around with different players and scenarios.
