As some of you know I have recently gotten back into the online dating scene. Of course it’s frustrating but I figured I would give it a shot. I have a situation I could use some advice on, here is the communication:

Message 1

“Hi “, I’m “, how are you? Nice pictures, you have a wonderful smile!

Like you I enjoy traveling and going to new places, any places you want to visit in particular? I just got back from an overseas trip myself to “ and “. I saw you speak French, have you spent any time over there? Learning at least the basics of a new language is something I have been thinking about doing.

I also saw you mentioned reading, any good books you’ve read lately?

Her reply

Good Morning! How are you doing today? I did spend a semester in France so I speak the language pretty good. What are you looking for on the site?

Message 2

Hi “! My day is going good, how is your day going so far?

For me I am hoping to find a woman on here that I can eventually be in a relationship with.
But i’m Also just trying to meet some new people and expand my social circle. I do want to be in a relationship but I’m not looking to rush into one.

I messaged you because I think we have some interests in common and you mentioned you don’t want kids. I enjoy kids but like you I have no desire to have any of my own.

What are you looking to get out of the site? What kind of guy are you looking for?

Her reply

That’s good. Yeah I’m looking for someone who is loving, caring and trustworthy. If you don’t mind texting outside here give me your number.

So what do you all think? Real woman or a fake/bot?

If I do give her my number should I give her my real number or a disposable phone number? If I do get one of those prepaid/disposable phones for the purposes of dating where should I get one? What type should I get?

Impressive since she lacks command of the English language.

Hard to tell. How many pictures does she have and are they fake? But what are you scared of?

Well both sides of the conversation are pretty cringe.

Could go either way, but I'm leaning real. But have her give you her number. Or get a burner for these types of communications.

She has 2 pictures. I guess I’m worried that it could be fake and I’ll end up getting bombarded with random texts and calls.

What’s so cringe worthy about what I said? Again i’ll admit I’m clueless with dating, that’s why I’m asking.

If I do get a disposable/burner phone, what would you recommend?

When she does text you, reply with a dick pic. No use wasting time, money, or energy if she's not DTF.

Which online dating site are you using? The free one's are full of bots, but the paid sites are more likely to be real.

It’s a free site. I think it’s ridiculous to pay for an online service where their goal will be for you NOT to find someone, in hopes that you will stay on the site longer.

Oof but hell go for it. Does she only have pics from the neck up or uses nothing but snapchat filters?

While not warning signs of bots they are of fat chicks and catfishers

My advice would be that both of you need to learn the correct application of the words "good" and "well".

Online dating is for women. 1000s of dudes will message women and then women just cherry pick the dudes they want. Even average women get 1000s of messages.

I used one when I got divorced from my first wife, maybe 15 years ago.It was like shooting fish in a barrel. I was hooking up with a different chick each weekend. And they were all down to go to pound town.
problem is they are mostly all crazy. dating in my 30s was tough. If a woman is single in her 30s she's either already been had (4 frigging kids) or is looney as can be.

Maybe it's just my perception. It just has all that awkwardness of blind initial contact which gets replaced by normal casual conversation over time. As you get more comfortable with someone, the ! use on every reply goes down.

I played that mess for a month on paid sites, knowing exactly what I was getting into, it was for fun to kill time and not serious.... of the dozen interactions a grand total of 3 turned out to be who they claimed, the rest were scammers. Run any response not in near perfect English though Google in quotes (or even if you question it if it is). Most of the scammers used pieces of canned exchanges... people started publishing exchanges with scammers.
