I went to the Arsenal game in Charlotte, my tickets were around $75. Also, if Nashville SC had a home game that same weekend I think my trip would've been less likely made.

I agree and US soccer needs to drop their prices as well for some of the friendlies they've had. Also to add this isn't the fault of ICC but the Arsenal night before event in Charlotte was a shite show. They decided to hold it in their bar, which was filled beyond capacity. I ended up leaving and going down the road somewhere else. I had no idea why they didn't decide to do a ticketed event or find a larger space. The pregame event was much better with the street and a plaza blocked off. For some reason they didn't do armbands so I had to take my ID out every time I got a drink.

I think it was due more to the team selections in the US than the prices

I’m surprised it took this long. Casuals are turned off by the prices, hardcore fans are turned off by the rosters.

I have to think the players hate it. Traveling the globe right before the season starts. Meaningless games
They dont get a lot of off time and this has to cut into it

Placement of matches was a bit dumb as well. I mean Liverpool played around the same time in Boston and Arsenal played matches in Charlotte and DC.

They did play Man City a few years back in Yankee Stadium and got a little less than 50k

That was also 2014 right after the World Cup

It did not look good on TV

I’ve never gotten the appeal of these money grab euro snob club games. Even if the stars play, they half arse it, but oooooooh I saw Ronaldo play. Whatever. These games mean frick all, but euro snob sheeple flock to them.

It’s bad enough that US Soccer charges high prices for shite friendly play and I think US fans are responding accordingly by not going.

It’s gotten watered down and teams from the same leagues going head to head doesn’t help. Not to mention games over multiple CONTINENTS.

The original 2003 tournament was the GOAT because it was simple and entertaining. I think Man Utd played Celtic in Seattle, América in LA, Juve in philly and Milan in NYC.

Nowadays they’re playing Spurs in singapore, city in tokyo and Arsenal in Hong kong.

If my team played in the city I lived in, I'd go for sure. But if I'm going to spend the money on travel and tickets, might as well just go for a weekend to Europe and see the real thing.

I went a few years back to barca-Juve at MetLife was pretty fun
Suarez Neymar and Messi all played

I’m just not that enticed to see Sporting-Liverpool or Fiorentina-Benefica
