New Gaming Rig Or Upgrade My Current?

Currently my setup looks like this:
GPU: GeForce GTX 760
CPU: I5-3570K @ 3.40GHz
OS: Windows 7
MB:Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
PSU: Corsair CX500
It actually still plays pretty much everything i want to play, just not at high frame rates. Would it be cheaper/more efficient to get a newer/better graphics card? I know my mother board and CPU are pretty outdated, i'm still running ddr3 RAM.
Should i sell this rig and build a new one? Or just to use some of the existing parts?

Overclock the CPU and get rid of that junky 760.

Are you running on a hdd or ssd? If hdd, moving to a solid state drive should be your focus.
How much RAM?
Upgrade the video card.

Sorry, i copied and pasted those specs from when i built the PC. I'm on windows 10 now and running off an SSD.
What graphics card do y'all recommend?
Also, I have 16gb of ddr3 ram.

Considering Microsoft forced a download on those who hadn't upgraded from 7, I think that was a given.

We started with nearly identical setup. I've upgraded to a 1080, a bigger power supply, and ssds. My CPU is now my bottle neck, but can still run most games at 60 fps 1080p. You can probably get a few more years if you upgrade the graphics card, just depends on what games you play.

What do you really want it to do for you?
If you're just gaming, your 3570k and 16 GB of ram is more than adequate.
For 1080p/1440p, I'd go with either a 2060 super or RX 5700 XT.

Slap a new video card in that bad boy and you'll be good

I would hope so lol. Y'all need to get 60fps/1080p and PC gaming out of the same sentence. If you can't reach that, get a console.
