Short Leash on Pitchers

Posted by GeauxTime9 on 4/18/26 at 7:40 am
What’s the boards thoughts on Jay having such a short leash with the pitchers?

I was good with it early on to see who you could trust. At this point it seems like it isn’t allowing pitchers to get into a groove. I thought pulling Benge last night was bullshite.

I’d like to see them narrow down the arms to a group that we trust/depend on and let them go a bit further.
Today is the day, we’re getting one!
Mikey looks like he’d been a good one to hang on to.
How will this workout for players wanting to return to the PGA?
My guess

1-2 vs A&M
1-2 vs MSU
2-1 vs USCe
1-2 vs UGA
2-1 vs UF

13-17 going into SEC tournament, win a few in the tournament and make a regional as a 2 seed out west.

New to Centipede - How to treat it?

Posted by GeauxTime9 on 4/13/26 at 6:07 pm
I’ve always had St. Aug. Purchased a new home that had centipede planted a couple months ago. We do have an irrigation system that covers the entirety of the new sod.

1. How often, how long, and at what times should I run the irrigation?
2. Any fertilizers I should be using yearly? If so, what time of the year, and what type?
3. I have a few similar weeds that are already starting to emerge. Bushy type weed that’s purple/redish in color with yellow flowers.

Location is Baldwin County AL.

You’re proving my point.

The portal is a roller coaster.
Portal is a crap shoot. The days of seeing a consistent power year in and year out are over, imo.

re: Is Milam a big leaguer?

Posted by GeauxTime9 on 4/12/26 at 11:36 am to
Milam is a plus plus defender. His challenge is not having another tool that’s is on the plus side of things.

I think someone will take a flyer on him based on his fielding ability and the fact he’s a switch hitter.

He’ll need to hit for average/ops to stick in the league.

Baseball Injuries - Who do we see?

Posted by GeauxTime9 on 4/10/26 at 9:31 am
With Caraway being listed as out for the weekend and Dardar listed as questionable, who do we potentially see at 2B? It'll be interesting to see who Jay goes with if Dardar isn't a go tonight.

Also, what is the issue with Caraway? I didn't realize he was hurt.

You won’t notice a difference.

This is bad advice. I've owned both, the 2.7L does not compare to the 3.5L in terms of torque & towing.

IMO, if you intend to haul a lot and it's typically larger loads, i'd go with the 3.5L. If you are looking for reliability with minimal towing, i'd go 2.7L.
When is he expected to return? Also, I missed it, what was the injury? Hoping he can return in some capacity.
I think Simpson should get a few more cuts.
I’m ready for the portal to open on the 7th, it’s going to be fun.
Cut down on walks and this team is going to be okay.

Seems that it’s Yeskie’s MO here, starts the season with a ton walks figuring out who he can depend on. Then tweaks a few things and sticks with who he can trust. Back end of the season is far less walks.
