If they rush for 289 yards, at the pace at which they play (slowest in FBS per Ree), I doubt we’re scoring 48 points.

NO WAY this defense gives up 17 points and nearly 300 on the ground.

If this defense is as good we are hearing with the depth on the line and at LB, they won’t hit 200 yards rushing

If our D plays at maximum effort most of the time, we could hold them below 250 yards rushing. But, watching this program (GSU) play for the last 15 years, they play SEC teams well. We won't shut them out because we won't play at max effort on D because of who we are playing.
We can score 48 points using primarily big plays for most of those scores.

Bama gave up 302 yards rushing against them in 2015 and Bama scored 45 points. Bama had the best rushing defense in the nation that year giving up only 69 yards per game. That average included the game against Georgia Southern.
ETA: Bama gave up 54 yards against LSU the same year. Fornette had 31 yards on 19 carries.

We ALWAYS easily rush over 300 yards-rarely that we don't. As far as putting a lot of points on us as some are saying-I just don't see it. This is possibly the best team we have had in 2 decades- especially our QB and defense. Y'all will be tested for sure. And that is not a bad thing for y'all-makes for a dang good prep for Texas and future games. But at the end of the day GEORGIA SOUTHERN is just too good this year. We put at least 350 on yall. We leave with a win baw.
