As most people know, Joe's brothers and dad played for Nebraska. Joe & family looked to Nebraska as the most likely transfer destination. Frost said, "Thanks, but no thanks."

90 minutes ago tOSU's Joe Burrow announced he was leaving as a grad transfer. I would suppose Nebraska is an option but as Scott Frost told me last month, "You think he's better than what we got?"

Burrow could conceivably be on someone else's campus soon if he graduates with a year of eligibility remaining. A lot of the future hinges on when Urban Meyer names his starter. Meanwhile, Nebraska completed its 15th spring practice on Monday.

"We think, if we can get by with what we have, it's cleaner than muddying up the situation," Frost said.

The fact that any competent head coach in his first year of a massive program overhaul would tell a qb of Joe’s caliber “no thanks. We’re good.”

Lucky for Joe (and us) he came here. If he was at Nebraska they'd be losing by 28 instead of 41.

Nebraska just isn't very good.

This was the same thing I was thinking as I watch this skull dragging beat down. Scott Frost is an idiot and coach O is a genius.

And from CBSSports, genius.

AND every Ohio State beat writer covered the Nebraska story. (And Frost's unexpected response)

NU has fallen & they just can’t get back up.

Time for a home/home with them to get some payback for years past.

Bet he feels dumb.

Weren’t there some fans here that wanted Frost after Les was canned?

Nebraska's recruiting classes rank a little behind South Carolina and Tennessee over the last few years.

Not much elite talent in this century.

Tell me again why if his Nebraska ties are so strong that he went to Ohio state in the first place?

ETA: Frost chose to build his team around Martinez. Call it what you want, but it was the right move. A transfer QB wouldnt save this season or last season. The team needs more depth on both sides of the ball.
