Coach Pop was the first one to start sitting starters so they could rest and not get worn out during the season and others but not all followed.

I took my son to go see the Warriors vs the Pelicans for his birthday when they came a few years ago. He was so excited and I wanted him to have the same experience I had on my birthday when my dad took me to go see the Lakers in 2001.

As we are driving to the arena, we hear on the radio that all starters for Warriors are sitting out since they played Miami the night before. My son was crushed and deflated and I was pissed because people come out to see their favorite players and want to see the best players in the NBA. Players never say out and they had passion and love for the game. Players knew people came out to see them and never wanted to disappoint them. These players don’t have the same passion.

I already been started losing interest in the NBA but stuff like that will drive people away for good when you pay money to see starters sit on the bench when nothing is wrong with them.
