Me and some buddies who are turning 40 around the same time are headed out to England and plan on attending a PL game. We’re open to watch whomever, we would rather go for the experience as we’re all casual fans of the league. Looking for an experience like Wrigley Field/Fenway rather than Yankee Stadium, as a reference. We’re headed there in either April or May when the weather is decent (trying for golf as well). I’ve heard that’s Chelsea, Man U/City are pretty “stuffy” and should avoid those.

Looking for some ideas on which stadiums would give us the experience.

There’s like a bajillion London clubs to choose from. The toon and Newcastle would be an experience I think.

I’ve been to several and I still say try to go to a night match at craven cottage if possible.

The team might be pretty bad, but the atmosphere at Crystal Palace always looks awesome.

We saw that the FA Cup is playing the 5th round (sweet sixteen) on a Wednesday and then PL action that weekend. We’re looking into that week to catch an FA cup and PL game. We want to do it February or March. All the championship games are later.

We don’t know which games are night games until closer to the match, right?

April 14 is a night game at Craven Cottage. I don’t think that will change I don’t think it’s like the premier league where games are changed for TV but I’m not sure.

Personally I’d pay for a package for everyone to go to the best game for that particular weekend. Getting tickets with everyone sitting together is going to be a pain in the arse otherwise.
This is what I did for a Chelsea @ Liverpool game a few years ago (the famous Gerrard slip game). It included a hospitality event before the game and at half.

That shite stupid expensive

And the atmosphere in hospitality is shite bc it’s mostly tourist who don’t even speak English

Those hospitality events are just a whine and cheese type crowd thing

Get the full experience and hit the pubs before hand and roll into the ground right before kickoff. Enough time to get a beer in the concourse with everyone going nuts pounding them because you can’t have it in your seat.

Lol no. City fans know their place in history. We’re excited sure, but pretty humble too. This may be your closest “Wrigley like”.

Be careful, planning for games in spring can’t be tricky as they can be postponed easily

I meant in the way they were bad for so long but now are excited-ish. I misinterpreted the original question.

Pep is used to some of the best support in the world. City is still a fragile paranoid fan base tbh
