All the Louisiana State Senate District 11 candidates have been invited. I'll be there. Patrick McMath will be there. We're going to discuss the election and any other concerns you have. Let's make it a big community event. Tell everyone you know to show up! We'll also be promoting Rispone for governor!

Maybe yall can discuss what person in charge of the causeway thought it was a good idea to leave the NB bridge open this evening, post as such on facebook at 5:30, then proceed to block rush hour traffic on the NB span so they can u-turn all the traffic stuck on the SB side instead of just closing the NB side for a while and allow all the NB traffic to clear out, THEN u-turn the SB cars before reopening NB. But that would make too much sense

Aww, thank you so much, beachtiger. That really means a lot to me. I'm taking a break from running for office for a while after this election is over, but I'll stay active in the community and keep fighting for the stuff I care about. Love you.
Tiger Prawn, I'll try to bring it up. Depends on how many people show up and how many issues we have to discuss. I just want an opportunity for everyone to talk about what they're concerned about. We didn't have a lot of opportunities to discuss the issues this year. It's all just been personalities. This would be a good opportunity for people to bring up the things that they talk about at the kitchen table to their politicians. All the local councilmen and women should also show up.

Traffic is my main concern. The fact that people cant merge at I-12 and 190 is amazing.
I would assume its a dodt thing but anyone with pull could get it figured out would be amazing.
I wish this was in the afternoon rather then in the morning. I would have liked to go.
Side note to northshore peeps
There 3 plus large carwashes on 190 in a mile stretch with another being built does anyone find this curious

Widening the I-12 Tchefuncta River bridge is the only answer. 1-12 needs to be at least 8 lanes between 1077 and 1088.
And you don’t need an f’n engineering study to know that. Just start building.

Nah that money needs to go to the causeway so the cops can camp in the Emergency lanes running radar.
When they forced this causeway expansion they promised it would be for emergencies only and not for the patrol, i guess carlton duferceau lied no biggie

I heard a while back that funding got approved for widening to 6 lanes between 1077 and 1088 but haven't heard anything lately. Wish they'd hurry the hell up and get started on the work already
ETA: an exit for 1085 to help take congestion off the 1077 northbound traffic at the roundabout would be nice too, but thats just wishful thinking

Yeah I don't think there was a lot of turnout. I was dealing with depression myself and couldn't attend. Right now I'm working on starting a talk show where people can air their grievances and we can talk about local issues and I'll invite both candidates on. It'll probably premiere next week. Plain Talkin' with Daniel Ducote. I'm leaning towards Falconer, though.
