I am actually happy about this. I was taking my 75 year old dad for our first time. I was really concerned about putting him on an airplane. Hopefully the October rumor is true.

If anyone could play and ignore the hilarity, it's Augusta. I was not expecting a cave this early. Wonder why they didn't wait it out until April 4th like the pga considered.

Obviously ANGC can figure this out, but they've been Rye-Overseeding all winter for April tournament. Course will burn out in the summer.
Going to be a hell of a turnaround to get it to tournament conditions in October. Yes, I know the course reopens then...but it's not in "impeccable" shape like it is after an entire winter of Rye treatment and maintenance.

Late October is plenty of time to over seed and get it ready. No azaleas but course will be in shape. Problem of cold weather will be more of a factor.

Be interesting to see what they do. Masters played twice in the 2020/21 season and doubled up on the fedex points.
