Bundesliga

quote:

The Bundesliga has been given the green light to resume in the coming weeks by chancellor Angela Merkel – with May 15 the earliest possible day for a restart.

quote:

The government has told the Bundesliga, according to Bild, that they can pick a date in that timeframe for a return. The earliest option available would see the first action played on May 15. After the decision in Wednesday's meeting of German states and chancellor Merkel, the league now has to decide whether to start on May 15 or 22. All games will have to take place behind closed doors – or, as they are known in Germany, as 'ghost games'.

At first I was all

Then I was all

Why can’t they still broadcast them? They’re missing a big opportunity imo.

I wonder if they mean just no fans in the stadium for the closed door rule. The same article quoted them saying it's important for the people for it to return, so it would be counterintuitive not to have it televised.

After much deliberation and with careful consideration, I am a lifelong Leverkusen fan. Dimitar Berbatov TYFYS

Team Dortmund here. This league is getting my fandom solely because they were the first meaningful one to stand up to the madness and get things back underway. Also, they’ll have to broadcast them or else no one would give a shite. That’s the sole purpose of sports...to entertain.

They will
closed doors just means no fans

As they’ve been using this term a lot during this as well
