Here is a finding from a thorough research article that I posted in another thread. This study focused on police officer characteristics and racial disparities in fatal officer-involved shootings. It's worth reading.

OP asked for reliable data. What you have posted is a blatant statistical manipulation. I don't have the time or energy to explain it again like I did before, but study independent vs dependent variables to try to understand why that "adjustment" for population is an incorrect method. Performing the arithmetic that way will always magnify the minority statistics (it does the same for asian vs white and hispanic vs white). The reason is simple: whites are the overwhelming majority, therefore a similar majority of "stranger" crime will be committed against them, and stranger crime is roughly half of all crime. The raw statistics represent this disparity. Adjusting for population ratio cannot be done with simple arithmetic because the numbers are dependent variables - if you adjust one subset (like is done here with black crime), the other subset(s) must also be adjusted. This is no simple arithmetic problem.
The fact is a white person is 4X more likely to be the victim of a white offender than of a black offender, and a black person is 6X more likely to be the victim of a black offender than of a white offender. These "25X" and "200X" figures are intended to mislead and stir up hate. They take advantage of the reasonable notion of adjusting for population, but it does so in a deliberate and tricky way that in no way represents the real risk or statistics.
Don't fall for it.

Since whites are the "overwhelming majority", shouldn't they also commit an "overwhelming majority" of all murders? Why is it blacks - who only account for a mere 13% of the population - commit the majority of all murders at 53.3% (according to FBI data)? I should also note that in each categorical offense, blacks are the only race that commits crime at a higher rate than their proportion of the population would suggest.
