Just stunning how many statues these Confederate clowns have. Lincoln/ FDR , etc...don't have as many statues as these Confederates traitors.

So when do they rewrite the history books to erase the racist civil war?

Well, it shouldn't take too long to rip all their statues down then.

It’s a monument to the unknown soldier.

That's just a farm boy defending his homeland, not an ideologue.
Of all the types of Civil War era monuments, this is the kind that should remain.

I'm good with them all coming down. . I understand the difference between respecting history & revering historical figures ( traitors)

I was at the St Mary Parish Courthouse earlier this week and they have a confederate monument honoring everyday St Mary soldiers that died in the war of northern aggression and I wondered to myself how long it will stand.
Guess it won’t be long.

Even in Germany there are monuments to the everyday soldier.
The simple guy who did the duty ordered of him without asking his opinion.
These men were not leaders, Generals, Presidents, politicians or rich land owners.
They simply did what they were asked to do.
They deserve to be remembered.
