I've read The Ghost Soldiers - great account of the raid on Cabanatuan.

Ghost Soldiers was great. The prisoner in the book that recalls the most is Bert Bank. He was a POW at the camp and from Tuscaloosa. In the 50's, he purchased the rights to all the Ala football games on radio and built a network of affiliates and was buddies with Bryant. He has his own book out also on the subject, it's very short but a nice addendum to Ghost Soldiers.
