I like Amanda but to ask Rahm about the penalty before the Tour official could discuss it with him was wrong.

Talk about a buzz kill.

The reaction was great and worth it. Whether you thought it was fair to him or not isn’t relevant. People wanted to know his thoughts even if it was the first time he heard. Amanda just did her job.

Said the same thing to my wife. Why did that bitch bring it up when he’s riding high knowing it wouldn’t have mattered one way or the other. Seemed like Slugger White wanted Rahm to come to the scoring tent before his interview but CBS got in the way of that.....

Getting a raw reaction is kind of a big deal when it comes to sports. It’s 10000x better than some pre meditated, cookie cutter sound bite. Don’t be a pussy about it. Rahm still won. The shot was still awesome. It mattered even more to hole it out.

I understand that CBS wanted to get to 60 minutes.

Slugger didn't look happy that Rahm was told before he could talk to him.

If would have been huge if it cost him the tournament.

Did you even watch the interview? They had that without Amanda asking that question re: John’s family issues from COVID

That’s setting the bar awfully low for sports reporters but you do you

It was an awesome shot but she put him on the defensive with that question and you could tell it as he defended the shot multiple times

I’m assuming this is rhetorical.

This isn’t even about sports. It’s something you could have gotten at ANY time.

You’re setting them lower by expecting them to not ask specific questions about what just happened in the field of play. Crazy.

And? You want bland, boring, safe questions and rehearsed responses. You do you.

Just my opinion, not sure that justifies you calling someone names, but I have been called worse.

IMO, it added nothing and actually detracts from a great performance on a tough track.

Like I said, just my observation and you are entitled to yours.

I was responding to the guy calling Amanda a bitch for doing her job. Not that I’m knighting for her but I don’t think he’s absolved from being called out for his overreaction.

Actually no. That’s how bad your take was

Ok?

It’s pretty clear CBS preempted the tour in talking to Rahm. Scoring of a PGA tournament especially for a winner is more important than that interview.

I expect respectful and informed questioning. That was an ambush.

You seem awfully emotionally worked up about this to the point of calling me names for voicing an opinion. Maybe take a breathe or a lap

Why do people resort to this these days? I tell you to relax so you tell me to relax? Is that supposed to mean something other than you’re not making a point about anything?

As for name calling.... pot... kettle.

I’m 4 beers and 2 bourbons into a smooth Sunday and commented on a tv personality’s interview debacle. You’re the one that threw out the names towards me. Not the other way around.

Either way my point stands that her question was misplaced

ETA thanks for the downvote

Thanks for the status update. I’m walking with my son and dog at my course enjoying the cool evening. There’s a rainbow too. I’d ask if that satisfies your idea of relaxation. But I don’t care.

Amanda was a POS for asking about it.

The PGA tour messed up by not telling him about it before he got off the green.

I believe the ball ocelated (sp) it did change position. It did move but it returned to it's original position. I don't believe that is a violation.
