Fantasy draft last night and my team sucks.

I had an auction draft last night and I decided to sit back and let other people over bid on the top 15 or so, so I could take in the better players later. Apparently I’m a shitty GM as I realized after getting Myles sanders I went on the draft a butt los of WR’s, only 1 is really any good. I’m not looking for advice, consolation, or anything like that, just letting everyone know I sick at auction drafts.

I tinker with strategy but really wishing I had nutted up and just thrown down 140-160 on two dope RBs.
You can still fill a roster pretty well with the remaining 40-60 IMO, especially with all the WRs out there these days.

Three guys spent 75% of their cap on 4 or 5 players. They have 3 of the top 5 projections in week one.
One guy spent everything on 5 players and only had 12 dollars left to fill out his last 12 players. His is the 2nd highest projection.

Yep, its pretty clear its the way to go in auction.
That being said, those guys are totally fricked if one of those guys tests positive but we all knew that going in.

I’m in the same boat brother. Last minute auction draft w no research. First auction draft for me in several years.
Took Barkley early then that’s pretty much it.
I let some bidding wars run me off from a few guys and ended up w more of a deep roster with not really any great players.
I left a chunk of cash on the board too.

Been doing auctions for a long time. Used to use your strategy, but have come to learn that the studs and duds approach is better.
With a $200 budget, I spent $91 on Kamara. Crazy? Yes. But I ended up with a team I like. My bench is weak, but that’s what waivers are for.
