Any idea how long it will take for yahoo and espn to mark these players “out”? I want to move juju to my IR spot and add another guy but he has to be marked as “out” or “IR”

Edit: now being reported that the game will still be played this week

If it moves to MNF or Tuesday I presume it’ll still be considered a wk4 game.

Feels like a risky play now. Will the game even happen? How many additional players will test positive and be out?

If they don't play, it would be considered a bye week and they wouldn't be classified as out.

If they don't play, the whole season is going to devolve into chaos. I think they are just giving it an extra day so everyone exposed can either develop COVID, test positive, and be put on the list or not develop it and be considered okay.

Not really. All they have to do is move up the Pitt-Ravens game by a week and play the game week 8

and play 13 straight games without this happening again.

That’s a concern regardless of this development or whether it gets rescheduled this week or not.

Fantasy leagues should just have the option of taking each player’s predicted/estimated points.

One option I am considering with the leagues I commissioner of is to allowing managers to start a player from an earlier game and designate them as their Titans/Steelers replacement — if the game gets played Monday or Tuesday, as commissioner, I will place the Titans or Steelers player in their lineup, regardless of how the "replacement" player played that week.

so they have to pick the player before, right?

Yeah that's what the next part addresses. You would have to designate with the commissioner beforehand that you want to start the Titans/Steelers player if the game is played. If the game isn't played, you would get the replacement player's points.

I like this idea. Any drawbacks?

...yes.

ETA: Is it possible for a commish to manually add in “the replacement” from the waiver wire? Say a team really doesn’t want to carry two DST/QBs or whatever else for a one day rental.

Seems like it would work. Name the backup for the titans steeler player before Thursday. If they play you get your titan steeler player. If they cancel you get the player you named to replace him

Glad I don’t have players on those teams.

I’m a commissioner on ESPN and can’t find a way to change lineups after the fact. Do you just adjust the score after the games are over?

This is all I saw

quote:

Adjusting the roster has to be done for each player, in a "change team" --> "pick player" --> "submit"; basically 3-4 steps for each player.

It’s somewhere in the commish tools. But I still don’t know if a commish can add the declared “replacement” from the wire, or player has to be added to the roster.

I found where you can adjust the roster but it won’t let you do it for previous weeks. I guess it might let you adjust during the week?

Otherwise It looks like we can always just go back and do the math and adjust the score.
