Looking for suggestions on how to deal with this Titans situation. This week we are looking at as a bye week. But starting to think about options for next week.

Any suggestions?

At the mercy of the platform you play on

The only thing that I've heard of other than just what the site your league uses does is to be able to designate a player to drop that you will be allowed to pick back up the next week. For example, everyone agrees that I can drop Zack Moss to pick up a player and
Moss will be added back to my roster.

Personally, I prefer do not prefer that option. I think owners should just have to make whatever moves they have to. There's no guarantee that this will be the last instance. We all knew this was a possibility coming into the season.

The NFL is treating this week as a bye for the Steelers and Titans and has rescheduled their game to week 7. The issue is already resolved. You don’t need to do anything. Going forward it might get a lot more difficult to shuffle schedules around but for now it seems like an easy fix.

I wish ESPN would allow players that are affected by a Covid issue to be put in an IR spot. We added 2 IR spots for this exact purpose but from what I can tell it’s useless because it doesn’t allow you to put them in the IR spot.

IR is for players on the COVID list, not players on bye weeks.

Treat it like any other bye week. Attempt some trades. Hit the wire. Take an L. We knew COVID 19 would wreak havoc and here we go.

Same now with NE/KC.

Sucks.

I understand that we can treat it like a bye week, but I’m more concerned with a week that has several games postponed. It’s very possible that someone could have a good bit of players affected. I will just have to figure out a way to address these types of issues as they come up.

I’ve got Helaire and Hill in separate leagues but both are doing the same thing. What our leagues are doing is let’s say the game got canceled today, then you go to your bench or hit free agency. Now if a game is canceled the day of then any affected players would receive the average number of points from the games they had played in so far. Postponed games are treated as bye weeks and that’s where things get a little tricky with the average points. We are not talking about projected points. It is average points. This applies to Non-COVID players affected. We have IR spots for COVID players.

I’m with you there

I’d rather shut it down than start down a road like that.

Yeah I'm not a fan of giving players points that they don't earn.

I have the same question for the Chiefs game this week...if they play on Tuesday will those points count toward this current week? I have Kelce and Yahoo for some reason isn't count his projected points toward my team's total projected points

I'm sure it will. Haven't seen anything from anyone on yahoo. But, other platforms have confirmed that it will.

I totally understand that but our commissioners are trying to work it out the fairest way they can without spending every waking moment trying to run a good league. It’s not perfect but, nothing has been this year. At least we’re playing football.

Our league is doing one Free Drop per week (or at least going to try it out a few weeks). If you have a player that is sitting out due to COVID/game not being played, you can drop that player to pick up an active, and your drop is protected. If you want to pick that player back up, it has to be done the following week and it wont affect your waiver position to pick up another player

I'm taking the dickhead approach as commish in my league. Treat it like injuries. Do your best. Who knows if this is gonna be an every week deal. I have mahomes so they can't talk to much shite about it.

I wish the system would just throw all the players on those teams on OUT/IR that way each manager could navigate it much easier.. especially if the Titans are off again next week...we went up to 4 ir spots this year for this reason

The same thing could be accomplished by adding a COVID-only IR spot to the roster. Most services allow the addition of roster spots during the season.
