Family of 5. Just trying to get out for thanksgiving. Has anyone made this trip?
What I’m thinking is game and possibly rent a cabin for a few days after.
Any tips on places?

I made that trip many times when we used to play them on Thanksgiving weekend. My wife has relatives in Little Rock. We would often go to Branson Missouri a few days earlier and drive to the game on the morning of. You may want to look in to that. There are plenty of places around there where you can rent cabins. The Big Cedar Lodge is a few mile away.

I did. I live in Central Louisiana so we drove the day before and stopped/stayed in little Rock which was just a little over half way for us. We didn't do any cabins but just stayed in hotels. Grabbed a burger before the game at an amazing place called Hugo's. I strongly suggest you try this place. Its a nice trip.

Drove to NWA from TX when UF played there in 2016. Devil's Den is a nice SP. Lots of parks within an hour of the city.
Fayetteville is a really nice city.
Not sure about the Covid-19 opening but in normal times, it's a great trip for sure.

Fayetteville is great I bet you can find plenty of stuff to do around there.
otherwise there are cabins all over the ozarks, heading East. eureka springs is also very cool
I particularly like the area around jasper and to the East, between Richland creek and the buffalo river. There are fantastic hikes all around there and it’s the best time of year (no chiggers, ticks etc and the leaves have fallen)

Hugo's is one of the few places to eat in Fayetteville that has a legit memorable atmosphere.
Good burgers, and when the fries are good they're hard to beat.

Sadly, Hugo's is (I think) only doing seating outside currently. Fayetteville isn't shut down by COVID by any means, but a lot of the service industry is pretty cautious in their approach.
In good news, you can now walk around with drinks and get drinks to go in the entertainment district, which is really nice.
My favorite places to eat currently are Xuma Kitchens (used to be Axis) and Tula... both are highish end Mexican (think Mexico City or Oaxaca) and delicious.
Wright's BBQ is awesome.
