Why does this even matter? He is free to do it either way.

This has been widely rumored/known. All of those folks have publicly rebuked the President and are lucky they’re still collecting a paycheck.
Really makes you appreciate the Grenell’s/Pompeio’s of the administration

I may change my mind about voting for Trump with him doing this to these people right at Christmas time.
On second thought, nah, screw ‘em

He needs to get rid of Mark Milley also.
Personally, I am going to enjoy The Night of the Long Knives.

He is however everything he does now is framed in the lens of the election and to boot any replacement would need senate approval so it’s not like he can night of the long knives them (although I wish he could)

He will do it either way, imo. If he loses he will toss out deep state directors, replace them, and finish the job before January.
No way in hell Biden ever steps foot in the Oval Office. Nor Kamala Harris. Even in the event of a Trump loss. Actually, if Trump loses I bet we end up suspending any inauguration and will have to hold special elections after all criminals are cleaned out.
Releasing a list like this is just a warning shot towards these assholes letting them know it's coming.

The truth of the matter is he needs to get rid of the entire command staff at the fbi and more than likely a lot of mid level management that has been promoted by said command staff.

This article quote hinges on him winning the election to make this move.
Even if he loses, he is still the president for almost three months and can still do it.

I have heard that Wray and Esper have already received the message.

Well I would hope so considering it has gone to print.

All these officials serve “at the pleasure of the president.”
He could fire any of them tomorrow for wearing the wrong color tie if he felt so inclined.
The media needs to be disabused of the notion that the President, or his subordinates, aren’t able to fire rogue appointees.
They are still under the impression that this is 43 in the wake of Alberto Gonzales firing a bunch of US Attorneys, which was legal but lead to a scandal because the media twisted it.

I am talking about a month or two ago. I read that Esper received a letter stating that He would not be invited to participate in a second term. Esper allegedly replied that he serves at the discretion of the President. Not anything to do with this article.
Esper was toast in August.

Administrations turn over after a reelection. BFD. The Bureaucrat Class in DC is not like the Civil Service structure of the UK. You work at the pleasure of the President.

Its bizzare that firing people you have the absolute authority to fire has become scandalous.
