Need to drop 1 player as Davis is coming off the bye from the Taxi Squad. Which one? None likely to start over other starters on the roster.

In the 2nd week of the playoffs. Thank you.

M. Davis RB

M. Pittman WR

C. Lamb WR

C. Akers RB

Easy. Drop Pittman. Keep Davis in case CMAC doesn’t play. Can’t drop Lamb and Akers has been getting a lot of action lately. Akers could be a sneaky playoff winner, his best weeks have been the last few weeks.

It is a winning rule, not to drop RBs during the playoffs unless they are injured enough to not play during its duration. So it’s between, Lamb and Pittman and Lamb is the much better play.

Lamb with Dalton at QB averaging 8 targets at game

7/64
0/0
4/31/1
5/21
6/46

What am I missing? Under what circumstance could we start Lamb with any sort of confidence

At least with Pittman, you have a path to relevancy if an injury prone Hilton were to go down

This is misleading because you failed to mention the 0/0 game you referenced was a bye, not a game played with zero catches/yards.

Don’t just take my word for it.. but using NFL.com, Lamb is owned in 92.6% of leagues and Pittman is owned in 16.2%. Lamb has 157.10 points this season and Pittman has 76.70.

The circumstance of having to start him or Pittman. And we weren’t talking about starting, the question was who to drop.. but I would definitely start Lamb before I would start Pittman. Mainly because Lamb is an elite talent, a better WR, more dangerous after the catch, a better red zone target with more red zone targets, more capable of running reverses, handoffs and screens, and also has potential of scoring a TD on special teams returning punts. Not to mention that the Cowboys use their WRs a lot more than the Colts do. I’m not saying Pittman is a slouch and won’t have a good career but Lamb is by far the more superior talent and the much better play right now. At the same time, I don’t have Lamb on my team and so I won’t be starting him, I was simply offering advice to the question posed by the OP.

Anyone can get hurt at anytime. Second and third WRs don’t have near the value as backup RBs for obvious reasons. Who handcuffs WRs?

He’s averaged 4.2 receptions, 59.4 yards and .2 TDs the last five games. This is the time of year rookie WRs come out. There is minimal completion for targets

Lamb is at 4.4 receptions, 32.4 yards and .2 TDS the five games with Dalton. He’s competing with Cooper, Gallup, Schultz, Zeke for looks.

No, zero for zero on 5 targets vs Redskins week 7

Lamb is averaging 32 yards a game with Dalton. What’s the use when you cannot play him with any sort of confidence. The cowboys are a disaster
