What area of town?
Stock and Barrell
Knox Mason
Kefi
Not Watsons
ETA: if you are downtown go to Pretentious and Post Modern Spirits.

Well there's a new Walk-On's on Kingston Pike lol. Stock and Barrel has good burgers/duck fries. The best "poboy" in town is at The Shrimp Dock. If you like Indian goto Sitar. Food around here mainly sucks.

Lots of good eating up there. My favorite is Wright's Cafeteria, an old fashioned meat and three. 5403 N Middlebrook Pike. They've been there since the 60s. Do not skip the cornbread.

If you don't mind a bit outside of Knoxville, go to Foothills Milling Company in Maryville.
It's amazing how much the restaurant scene has changed in Knoxville in the last few years. I can't keep up with all the new places that have been built up there.

Ended up going to dead end barbecue, was very good and had a great environment. Thanks for the help!

Glad you enjoyed. I've been there once and it was really good for sure. I've had a few of their box lunches catered at events and they are mediocre at best. It really lacks something off premise.

The burnt ends were pretty good, but the waitress and the service was very good.
