Has anyone done the expedited passport process lately? I am wondering what the turnaround is looking like. I called our US Rep's office and got the covid excuse. They will help in an emergency only for <72hr travel.

Not sure how fast you need it but you can do the expedited request via mail and I think you get it under 3 weeks

My father in law got a passport back in September/October, expedited, and it took about 3 weeks.

Call your Senator. Mine sat at the expedited center for three weeks. Senators aide made a few calls and it was in my hand 36 hours later.

FYI, 3 weeks was dead on balls accurate.

Not trying to be rude, but this is like the third or fourth post I've seen over the last year asking about expedited passports, and my question is, why are all of you people needing expedited passports? Are all of these really spur of the moment travel emergencies or are people just procrastinating and being irresponsible by not taking care of their shite in a timely manner?
Let the downvotes begin, but it just seems like most people should know about foreign travel needs in plenty enough time to apply for a passport in the mormal course of business.

In my case, criticism warranted. I just wasn't paying attention that it was time to reup again. 10 years goes by quickly the older I get.

I thought the same thing
But anyway - pre-Covid we all got passports - not expedited - and it took only three weeks
I’m sure it’s slower now but I was pleasantly surprised
