after Hurricane Laura the Superintendent from The Golden Nugget moved relocated to San Antonio for personal reasons. I had put Coushatta back together and hosted that Notah Begay Junior National Championship. That was my last day at Koasati Pines. I was part of the grow-in here at the Nugget in 2014 and they asked me to come fix this course. SO, I made the move, and it is closer to my house. I was driving an hour each way to Koasati. I like a good Challenge.

Kosati better not turn to shite now that you’re gone

it won't turn bad. I helped them pick my replacement. Jordon came from OakWing GC. HE will do great at Koasati.

What kind of stuff are you going to fix at GN?
Can I recommend the green fee? IMO Koasati is a much nicer course with way more features and at a better price point as well.

Just finished, looks okay. Crab grass on the greens, some look decent, some have a lot. IMO they need to lower their green fees as well..

there isn't any crab grass on the greens. And I don't control greens fees. All I do is manage the Grounds. We renovated all the bunkers, fixed irrigation, mulched all the areas that used to have trees, and did some sod work.

Last time I played it was $160. The course doesn't have a range and the scorecard didn't have layouts of the holes on it. Had to look at each sign by the tee to figure them out. Which isn't a huge deal, but at that price point, it's lacking some key features.
Not to mention you have Gray Plantation down the street charging $75 for all of those features, plus GPS in the carts.

I would imagine a casino golf course is not run like your typical muni. I'm the they cost is kept up to control play and keep the comps from bitching too much.

there are yardage books available and an app you can get to help you with layout and distance.
