Where should I play in Lake Charles

Staying at the Lauberge, seems like the green fees are kinda hiked for golden nugget and contraband. Any other courses to give a go? Or is the green fees at contraband worth it?

You can look at the National Golf Club of Louisiana or consider going to Koasati Pines In Kinder. 45 min drive

Haven't been back since the hurricane, but I would highly recommend Koasati. Other than that Gray Plantation was a nice track and National isn't bad either.
My favorite track was LCCC, but you gotta know somebody for that.

National is pretty decent right now. Contraband is good, I’d suggest getting Golfnow app and buying a hot tee time on there..

I’ve played contraband 3 times. It has steadily gotten worse each time.
Most recently was about a year ago. After the round I stated that I wouldn’t have paid $30 for it.
I vowed to not play there again even if I have to stay sober and drive somewhere away from casino grounds.

i got a hot deal for 36$ at contrabrand next weekend. At that price I shouldn't be dissapointed.. Thanks fellas

That’s a good deal. For future reference, they ran ~$40 green fees on sundays after 11. Not sure if that’s still the case post Laura, but I don’t see why they’d change it.

I played over the summer and enjoyed the course. Conditions weren’t Koasati level but it was more than acceptable
