Interesting that Hagy is as long as Chambo

Guys on the TGC Golf Today show said that Brandon Hagy is as long or longer than anyone on Tour including Chambo.
Hagy is tall and thin, but they said his driver makes a explosion on the range.
Hagy hit the Ping G425 driver.

He hits it shorter (15th for hagy, 1st for Bryson in driving distance). Is 10% less accurate and gains more than a half stroke off the tee than Bryson.
He's got well above aver ge distance, about 15th on Tour, but he's not a good driver of the ball. He's 83rd in SG off the tee
The guys on Golf Today were wrong

He probably doesn't swing 100% wide open like Finau.

Finau isn't close to wide open lol

That what I mean, Finau always says he swings about 80 % so he can control his shots.

Yea Hagy is wild off the tee...42% fairways hit this week and 50% of greens...hence he's a 1 round wonder who went from playing in last group to having a 11am tee time instead of a 2pm teee time. He couldn't carry Bryson's jock much less his golf bag!

Which is why he can’t keep up with Chambo

:
When you find a longer driver let me know, because I have hit them all and its sure not the TM or Cally.
Other thing close was the Titleist Tsi 3.....

That new Calloway is easily the longest driver this year. TSi is longer than Ping too.
Ping is the most forgiving though. Spin numbers on mishits are insanely good

Who gives a shite what a professional golfer is hitting that doesn’t have anything to do whether or not it is a good club for you.

Sorry you are weak and old and need lots of spin

On my fitting, distance was ranked:
1. TM SIM2
2. Calloway EPIC Speed
3. Calloway Epic Max
4. My driver (Wilson D200)
5. Titleist Tsi 3
6. Ping G425
7. Ping G410
Probably only 10-12 yards between #1 and #7. Also interesting was the G425 had the second worst dispersion after the SIM2. I was pretty sure I'd go with Ping heading into the fitting based on reviews, but it just wasn't the setup for me.

Yea we worked on shafts first with the same head (epic max), then hit each of those heads with the two best shafts.
I'm sure results were as much user error as anything, but it was still interesting to go through it after watching endless driver reviews and comparisons. The fact that I ended up with one of the less forgiving heads (epic speed) based on my research and the more forgiving head was not so forgiving for me was definitely a surprise.
