I was thinking the same thing cause he just went down with no contact at all. It does look like that is his injury and tosu isn't saying much about it yet

That's a pretty good guess. When I first saw it, I thought he had just torn an ACL... but if it's in the foot, lisfranc is very possible.

Wasn't he walking around on the sideline after? If so, that wasn't a lisfranc.

I'll call it a grade three sprain, and he won't be ready for USC.

Lisfrancs injury is when the forefoot gets dislocated, by ligamentous injury or fracture of the metarsals, from the midfoot.

Ted Ginn Suffered this (BCS Championship game)and seems to have come back fine without surgery. Plus, he was in a walking boot on the sidelines after 1 quarter. Although it is a very difficult injury to come back from I agree.

Yes. Ligamentous injury only though, which seems to be the case with Beanie

Hate to see it happen to the best RB in College football though.

He's gonna get grilled today in the film room for being caught from behind by the App State DB.

He had a lisfranc injury.

Had his foot planted in the ground and WR Hall Rolled up on it.

Charles Scott looked great yesterday, no doubt. But my opinion, Beanie Wells is the best back in College Football. P

If he was in the open field with that DB... no he doesn't get caught.

ETA: Notice I'm not saying he would have hit the hole that Scott did and put himself in that position though.

brian westbrook has made it back, he's a lot smaller of a guy though, seems it would be tougher for a big guy like wells to come back from that. i'll just say one of those "mid-foot sprains" i really hope he can play against sc

if he gets into the open field like scott did there's very few guys in CFB who would catch him at that point

but i don't know if he gets there, esp yesterday

I hope he plays against SC. It would diminish the meaning of the game to have OSUs best player out, just like it probably would have if Sanchez had been more seriously injured
