Do any of you that live in Alaska, Montana, Wyoming,or Idaho, ever see yourselves moving back(close) to the place you grew up ?

No

Went back about 15 years ago for a lengthy time and decided if I never set foot again I am fine with it.

If you ever get hooked on the void spaces, you aren't fit to live among crowds again. I can visit for a few days and thats enough.

I understand. I really believe the people that experience true nature and the peace it brings, would hate to ever leave it.

I live in WA. Moved here shortly after being stationed near Seattle.

I love visiting New Orleans but would never move back.

I lived in Boulder for a decade and then moved back to Baton Rouge. LOL. I did that. Commence well- deserved ridicule below.

Absolutely.

I could afford a lot more stuff in La than here, but that's not what my life is about.

I really miss a lot of food in the South, but I would never think about moving back. The scenery, people, and weather more than make up for the food.

Places like Jackson Hole are certainly small and insular, and you do need to just get out of the valley every once and a while.

But I have no desire to go back East.

I’m a Virginian, and that’s part of it.

But the life out west is just so much better. It’s healthier and happier. When I moved to Wyoming it felt like I stepped into a time machine into a world that actually made sense.

The craziness feels a world away. And you can live a good life here.

Dating is a trade off, the kind of women who move to the mountains, aren’t the kind of girls you really want to date.

And you’ll miss some of the food from back home.
