Kadri in ! I knew it.
Progressive white women seem to be dealing with their anxiety pretty well these days.
I feel like I may eventually become an Involuntary Luddite.
Ahh...the duality of man.

Actually-it appears to be the overriding theme of the day-discussing the nature of my corrupted soul with the kind lady next to me who is having the same thoughts as I look for worship times at a non-denominational church she favors. Suffering/loss/age makes us grapple with uncomfortable truths about ourselves and our fellow man, no?
Don’t take it personally- the uncorrrupted - those of us with souls-never understand the corrupt. It’s biblical- the source of our disillusionment with man.

Hope you are well, old friend.
When I was younger and uncompromised and straight as an arrow I would never have sold out. Now- in 30 seconds. This is not a brag- just a sad reality . Give me 5m and watch me lie like a Democrat . :doublebird:

I believe in 2-3 people in my personal life and God. The rest of you humans can pay me off and I’ll tap dance.
There will likely be a “ maintenance “ pill. Imagine the trillions in obesity- related health costs saved and all the people struggling with weight having relief. That’s really going to piss the OT off. Nothing pleases the OT quite like the suffering of fatties.

Time- as I used to describe it when it was relevant, was a magazine designed to make stupid people feel intelligent.
For me, that would be self-actualization.
The Japanese, huh? Personally, until the Moops join in, I think we are safe.

Damn. Remind me not to drive from Baton Rouge to Akron to get gas.
:scared:
Meh. Sounds more like self-delusional Reddit-level Progressive bogeymanism.

That's the irony of the modern Left; it rejected religion but kept the Puritanism, the strict orthodoxy, the moral purity tests, public shaming as a form of excommunication, the sins, the heretics, the bogeyman (Pete Hegseth oh nooooz), moral tribunals, public confessions, struggle sessions as repentance, etc.

Control of the culture that effects our lives from kindergarten on and has us jumping through hoops at every job we have vs some vague shite about Pete Hegseth. Not the same thing, my bro.

Someone needs to do a comprehensive list of everything Russia has lost since Putin began his catastrophic war. It is a historically astounding self-own.
quote:

Progressives are moral scolds. .
The Christian Right has entered the chat.

The Christian Right left the chat for good circa 2000. The Progressive Left filled the vacuum, is infinitely more Intolerant and rather than boorishly wanting to SAVE your soul the Progressive Left wants to CONDEMN you, imprison you, fire you, cancel you, and otherwise ruin your life.

Jimmy Swaggart and Oral Roberts and Jerry Falwell had little real cultural power. The Progressive Left controls the dominant culture from the classroom to every Hollywood studio to the boardroom. Apples and oranges.
quote:

A student who saw the gun told a teacher,

Snitches get stitches.
Progressives are moral scolds. So yeah- as white girl moral Puritanism grows- we get to hear how badly we are failing them morally. The entire culture at this point is based on being told where you stand in the moral hierarchy. It’s goofy AF.

Avs just picked up cup winner 3C Nicolas Roy through next season at 3m from the Leafs for a conditional first round pick. Big body for the playoff run-not the best skater though-good on faceoffs and D-a decent pickup. I guess the Avs figured they needed to be tougher up the middle-come playoff time-although style-wise he doesn't seem to be a great pick for the Avs. I'm thinking they like those deep playoff runs he had in Vegas-aren't worried about the crappy production in Toronto and see him as giving them the physicality they will need against The Wild or Stars. It makes them better but it's hardly a splash.

Avs just picked up tiny Dman Nick Blankenburg- depth D- feisty - moves puck well- like a grittier Sammy G in his own zone. I actually like him and think he’s a good fit but like Sammy G- super small although he plays a lot bigger. 7th D- kind of a best case scenario for that spot imho- especially for what they got him for a 5th round pick- and he’s a rental. This completes the D . 5 righties and 2 lefties.

So now Kadri or Laughton or someone- maybe 2 if they deal Colton or Nichushkin.

Trade Colton. Pick up Laughton. Add a depth Dman.
I think they get Kadri. It’s just in the cards.
