Target stays, the movie theater stays and the church stays. Seems the rest goes. Interesting given the Clearview development also underway. Like Clearview they seem to be going the mixed use route, Evolve or die I guess.....

Hate to see a former great one fall but it’s just too damn far out. It was the shiz back in the 90s.

A town square? A Park? Next to mixed housing and a movie theater? In Kenner? That won't attract any trash.

Who owns the property?
Doesn’t a crappy mall owner of dead malls own it?
If I recall, there maybe some back taxes where the city can use that as leverage to take the property.
Sad to see this for the only mall in the New Orleans area to have its own Freeway exit and on Ramp (32nd street). I know it dumps you right into a neighborhood then you have to turn at the light.
Would be nice for a Bucees? But they would need a second set or ramps to get you back in the right direction.

Don't see much happening with Esplanade, but Rivertown has potential. The museums out there were great for kids circa 1980s. Out by the river, away from most of the Kenner low income apartment complexes (as far as I know. been a few years since Ive been out that way).
