I have to go to a wedding for my fiancée’s best friend in October in San Antonio and I was thinking about spending an extra day or two down there to go play it.

Yeah I know it’s a good ways but I’ve had my eye on playing it for awhile so I’d like to be able to while I’m in the general area. No idea when I’ll be in west Texas again.

If you can swing the extra time/drive, I highly recommend it. Beautiful scenery on the course and lots of West Texas historical stops along the way and in the area

Yep it's a haul to get there but it's worth playing.

Fly in. They have a runway onsite.

Woah never heard of this place. Looks cool but it is way the F out there. Do they really get THAT much business?

They do packages that include "private fights" from DFW and Houston. The place is the tits from what I have heard.

I’ve played it. It’s great but like other said realllly long way.

If you want to pay that I still think the Fazio courses in Austin (Barton Creek) are better if you get that option.

Owners are out of Dallas and it's my understanding the majority of course play comes from the packages that fly in from there. They get a decent amount of hotel traffic just because the options are pretty limited down that way.

We were there a few years ago in September and we didn't see any other golfers over 3 days. Only saw a few other guests, that weekend was so empty is was kinda eerie. The hotel isn't anything special but I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Interesting. I mean I would go if I was out that way but it doesn't really look that special based on photos.

It is a really nice place. It’s a great place to take your wife/girlfriend. We did a package and just had to pay for meals.
