I was told, back when it closed, that they were planning on an August to October reopening. I went to the driving range in March or April and it looked like they were going to put in irrigation in the fairways or at least drainage. I live in Watson, so Clark is just as close as Greystone. I can't stand the Pines in DS.

Over budget, will drag on forever, be 50% of what was promised or what could have been. Five years after renovation will be a goat ranch.

I went a couple months ago and it was nowhere close to being done. I'm not an agronomist, but u would think a grow in our something would need to occur.

Greystone has some greens that look worse than The Pines right now lol. I live in the Denham area and we've been playing CAM2 in Amite quite a bit. Copper Mill & Beaver Creek book up so fast on the weekends. Last weekend I booked an 8:30 tee time at CAM2 at almost midnight Friday. They give you a discount for paying online, so it was $78 for a foursome.

How is that course? It is on our crescent city golf card.

I've only played it a couple times, but it's the closest local course with elevation changes. The back 9 plays a lot different than the front. The greens were actually in fairly decent shape for the money

Was told that they were waiting on sod. LSU told me the same thing as the weather was terrible this past year for sod that everyone normally gets out of Texas. LSU says they will get the sod out of Georgia now. And yes they did cut the budget for Clark so it will be half a$$ like everything BREC's does. Also heard that Beaver Creek is long overdue for punching but they just keep working on Santa Maria.

They had so many options with the land they had and they basically made the worst layout possible.

Who did they hire as the architect?

Agreed. It looks silly and doesn't seem to flow. The space and backtracking may be weird for walking.

I hate to hear about the budget cut.

They could have done a cool layout that wove through the park like a walking trail. They could've expanded Clark some and made it a park style course. Wall to wall fairway grass. They could have made it a par 3 course. They could have made it almost anything layout wise and it would have flowed better.
