I pick 8th in the draft...

I can keep up to 3 players and I can keep a guy up to three times, but his keeper value increases by 2 rounds each year. Players picked in the first 3 rounds cannot be kept.

I kept Kyler with a 7th last year and James Conner with an 11th.

I also picked up Herbert off FA before the season started, so he will cost me a 12th this year to keep him.

Here are my potential keepers that I am considering.

Kyler - 5th round
Herbert - 12th
JD McKissic - 11th (scored pretty well PPR-wise)
James Conner - 9th
Gabriel Davis - 11th

I am toying with the idea of keeping both Kyler (for the last time) and Herbert (for the future). Unless I see something from the other three this preseason or injuries increase their value, I am leaning towards not keeping any of them.

Kyler in the 5th is about where he's been going in mocks I have seen...

I'm also considering offering Kyler up for trade to increase draft position(s).

Thoughts on keeping 2 QBs?

Right, but in reality other teams are keeping players as well. Without seeing who is being kept by everyone else, keeping Kyler in the 5th is equivalent to drafting him with a mid to late 6th in a non keeper

That’s solid value and he has a good shot at being the #1 QB, especially if it’s 4 point passing TDs

Keeping 2 QBs in a 1 QB league seems unnecessary. At that point Herbert is too good to drop, but he’s on your bench all season. Don’t hold him just to trade him. That strategy never works

Yeah, my main goal for holding Herbert would be to keep him next year for a 10th...and for him to be my backup whenever Kyler has a bye this year. When Kyler dropped off last year, my duo of Herbert and Keenan Allen got me into the playoffs.

Passing TDs are worth 5 pts in this league, btw.

You are definitely keeping Herbert but I feel like there has to be a better keeper option on your team somewhere than the ones you presented

Last year was full of injuries and I honestly didn’t draft well in the mid rounds. I could keep Ruggs for a 7th or Boston Scott for a 6th but I’m not going to. I also can’t keep the players picked in the first 3 rounds (which were Barkley, Keenan Allen and Robert Woods).

I would keep Herbert and throw everyone else back.

Murray is ok but your getting him at value and it’s a 1 Qi league so.. keep the younger Qb with a good valuation

Edited at those valuations everyone else needs to be tossed back
