Glenn Greenwald On GWB’s Equating January 6 Rioters To 9/11 Terrorists (I Transcribed)

I started writing about politics in 2005 so I remember how leftists used to be overflowing with so much hatred and contempt for George W Bush. They frequently compared him to Adolf Hitler. They claimed his family was crucial to the rise of Naziism and fascism. They claimed something that I agree with, that he is a war criminal who belongs in The Hague. They said that he was so filled with racism that he purposefully allowed New Orleans to drown because so many black people live there. And every leftist I know believes that George W Bush stole at least one election and maybe even two.
So basically they concocted a person that can’t get much worse in their eyes. And yet suddenly in the Trump years, when he began lightly criticizing Trump, they began to say things like ‘you know what, I didn’t agree with George W Bush all the time but I never questioned his character and his values and his patriotism.’ But this weekend it turned into a lovefest.
They dripped with effusive praise for him because of when he said that essentially the 9/11 attacks, that he was there to commemorate, are the same as the three hour riot on January 6 and, more importantly, that the people who did 9/11, Al Qaeda, are similar or identical to, ‘the same foul spirit’ as he put it, Trump supporters and that they ought to be treated the same.
A war on terror against Al Qaeda, now a war on domestic terror against your fellow citizens is music to the ears of leftist America because they want nothing more than a new domestic war on terror treating their domestic adversaries like the Bush Administration treated Al Qaeda.
The reason is it is a political priority. I have spent more time reporting on this this year than any other topic. It is a political priority of the political class to launch a new war on terror, a domestic one. You can go back to before January 6, to November of 2020, and see articles in the Wall Street Journal where Joe Biden was saying ‘my top priority as president will be to combat domestic extremism.’ Once January 6 happened, that became the pretext for doing it. Like a lot of neocons wanted to invade Iraq before 9/11, 9/11 happened and they got to use that as the pretext.
It’s so central to the agenda of the security state and the Democrat Party, to initiate and further a surveillance regime, a detention regime, against people who are against the establishment. And they are already doing it. They put people on the no fly list, a defining feature of the first war on terror. They want new legislation that gives the fbi and the cia new powers, spending lots more money on federalized law enforcement. This new war on terror is crucial to them and their grip on power.

I think the Bush family were good people at heart, but after a lifetime of being in politics they got way out of touch with America and got indoctrinated by the global elites constantly whispering in their ears. The Bushes are now the enemy too. They and the globalist are one in the same.

Here is sort of a fleshed out version on Glenn's Rumble.

I may not agree with Greenwald's politics, but I certainly admire his integrity through all of this.

I got to reply to this post from Langland again. Do you really think what’s in that post? It’s the most ignorant or delusional post on the history of this board.

You should do some more research.

Forget that. George H W Bush may have had a hand in the JFK assassination. He was once asked where he was when JFK was assassinated and said he couldn’t recall. Would you accept that explanation from someone in their 40s when they were asked where they were on 9/11? I’m in my early 30s and remember that day like it was yesterday.

"Theory?" To the contrary.
It is a well-documented, tragic and -- especially if you're paranoid -- terrifying fact.

He was actually in Dallas.
And Neil Bush was scheduled to have lunch with Scott Hinckley on 3/31/81.

Yeah, and I believe HW later said he was in Tyler, which is a little over an hour’s drive and a far shorter flight from Dallas.

GWB, pelosi and W's cabinet knew of illegal waterboarding going on and conducted by US soldiers. They hid the evidence and when it was brought to light they denied and called it misinformation.
Everyone mentioned above should be tried as war criminals.

Do you also have a soft-spot for Hillary?
The Bushes and Clintons were on the same team — Team Deep State.

I’m watching cnn now and they are ogling over gwb and his speech.
Y’all just don’t understand how close we came to a coup in this country. Those terrorists on the 6th were cut from the same cloth as the 9/11 bombers.
It’s mind blowing.

Not only that but he was VP and next in line to become President when Reagan was shot In another assassination attempt by Hinckley, the son of an oil man who owned the Sullivan Oil Co. which was being currently investigated by the Reagan Administration for financial funny business in said oil company.
The Bushes were and are still corrupt POSs.
