USC fan...... suffice it to say that Less Miles is the luckiest guy on Planet Earth ... And also one of the Whiniest ...
I suspect the BCS was invented by the SEC fans, out of some Road Kill and repeated voodoo chants down on the Bayou ...
what a jackass

Tubs is awesome!
I support the rants 120%!
I am proud of our coach for telling it like it is and calling out ESPN, the BCS, etc. Tubs was/is 100% right then and now.
Copy of the rant by Tubs:
"It's done," Tuberville said. "The national media, led by ESPN, wants to see Vince Young vs. Matt Leinart in the championship game. It's going to be those two teams unless Texas or USC get upset.
"Last year, they wanted to see the two Heisman Trophy quarterbacks, Jason White and Leinart. After six or seven games, we were out of it.
"If four teams are undefeated at the end of the season, there should be a playoff. There should've been one last year. But it's decided already. I don't like it."
He wasn't finished:
"ESPN has gotten so much power lately, it's kinda scary," Tuberville said. "And most of their analysts are coaches who haven't won any games. That's why they're there. I think you know who I'm talking about.
"And Lou Holtz gets on there and talks about what a team has to do win that game, and the guy couldn't beat anybody in our conference. These guys will come talk to you and look you straight in the eye and tell you something, then they'll get on the air and say something else.
"ESPN, I'll tell you, I don't have much to do with them anymore."
Then in 2006:
"I've about had it with this playoff deal," Tuberville said after a lengthy, emotional argument for a playoff. "We all understand in our conference how tough it is. In our conference, that's about the only chance we'd have to make it."
"There is no reason on this earth why we can't have the best four and then play one more," Tuberville said. "That's the legitimate thing to do. We added a BCS game -- for what in the world? -- I understand we're avoiding lawsuits and making money. But let's take care of the players."
Tuberville said excuses are invalid.
"The problem we have is you have 120 universities that are I-A and probably 25 would say they have a legitimate chance each year," he said. "And you have presidents that for some reason look at it more as for the money than having a national championship on the field. They keep coming up with lame excuses about academics. Football players miss fewer classes than anybody."
120% right on. Damn proud of Tubs for calling it like it is and not caring who doesn't like it.

She is probably one of the worst writers out there. Her BS is so skewed and biased. She's one of those "Well we beat them who beat them who beat them and they took them to OT and you only beat them by two TD's so we're better" kinda people.

I like what TT said in that article, he's right about most if not all of it.

I've liked Tubby for one week out his entire, miserable pathetic life, and the time he called out ESPN was that week.

A pretty hilarious [and true] article for all the Tubby haters out there.
I don't like Tubby due to some of his past crap that he pulled, but he has earned the right to be pissed at the BCS system. If we had gone undefeated and been left out the championship game, I would have joined the lynch mob that surely would have been formed to hunt down the aholes responsible.
