Looks like GOP is only up 4K votes, but there are almost 90k "other" votes. If there is heavy Latina turnout in that group, this isn't good news.

That does appear to be generally good news for Trump, but it doesn't account for cross over Republicans which is impossible to confirm so far. I think there are enough republican's voting for HRC to make this apparent advantage more of a wash. Still no doubt will be close in this as it will be in most of the I-4 corridor counties.

concern trolls are obvious.
In 2012 the UFA's broke with the general trend of Obama +5% in the county overall.
Using common sense and educated guessing, Trump is outpacing Romney by between 7% to 15% in Pinellas right now factoring in UFA's
AND keep in mind that Obama won Pinellas by more than he won Florida overall, so if Trump wins Pinellas that certainly bodes well for him statewide.

This is Pinellas, not Broward County. See link below. Hispanics were ~8% of the census here in 2010.

Others are NPA. If I'm not mistaken Trump leads that group 44-37 but could be wrong.

That's the first downtick - hope that's an abbé ration.
But Pinellas leaned further left than the rest of FL in 2012 by 4% (obv the demos have changed somewhat) but if Trump finished even down a point here I think we'd likely still take it as somewhat good news

Most hispanics are registered dems, not independent. Also, Pinellas is predominately white.

I live in Pinellas county and 80% of the local residents I know are MAGA ! But I refused to vote Jolly because the pu$$y would not support trump. He is part of the swamp

Considering this is a county Obama won pretty easily in 12, if it ends with R > D, I'd say that's huge for Trump.
Remember, Romney lost Florida by like .7% last time.
Trump only needs to improve slightly from last time to win.

Lead has been opened up to about 4,500 (up from about 4,000) on the latest update.
Regarding demographics of Pinellas:
quote:
White alone, percent, July 1, 2015, (V2015) (a) 82.9%
quote:
Black or African American alone, percent, July 1, 2015, (V2015) (a) 11.0%
quote:
Hispanic or Latino, percent, July 1, 2015, (V2015) (b) 9.1%
There's some two-races stuff mixed in there, so doesn't add up to 100%.
Regardless, 9% Hispanic/Latino is MUCH lower than the statewide % of Hispanics (about 25%)

Trump wins both Pinellas and Hillsborough in your opinion?

Well... parts of it. Part of St. Pete is heavy Section 8.

Votes may also not be evenly distributed.
It's possible a huge % of early voters on election day were old people.
So we just gotta sit tight and watch.
