just think about this scenario

one of the most fundamental rights of our political system? people don't care about it. whatever

but we celebrate the ability of a group to get these indifferent people to vote (often for their candidate)

what does that say about our society and system? it's terrible

and yes i understand i'm displaying a ton of privileges with this question/post

This entire election has show just how sad our electorate is. It's really all "our" fault for being an apathetic, ignorant, and disinterested (except for "free" stuff) society.

did you see OP?

i mean in the VERY NICEST form, it's volunteers going to get indifferent or ignorant people out of the house

even in the most benign form, they use psychological manipulation to motivate these people to vote (for their candidate). if this was some sort of sale of a good it would be labeled predatory and the agreement unconscionable

it's sad. especially that some people celebrate it (i assume b/c they "win" by using it and no other reason)

This election *should* be a reminder of why no sane person would want to become dependent on the government for anything of personal importance.

There is ZERO assurance of competence, leadership, or ability anywhere to be found.

I don't want anything from the government. I just to them to leave me alone at this point.

Nice "born and raised in Lake Chuck" understanding.

Churchs are a big deal in urban black communities and tend be ground zero on election days. Churchs provide transportation for those that either dont have it or are unable to drive. But in both those cases people getting picked up are registered and want to vote.

The narrative here that there are press gangs riding around in buses picking up random black people and driving them around from polling place to polling place is insane.

that's not really what most people consider GOTV b/c that's very historical

GOTV is more of the new methods of targeting and squeezing out votes efficiently. we're not talking about black churches doing what they've done for 50 years

not what i said. good job not listening at all

but that does happen

I can not believe we're about to elect a person that has a legitimate article about Pepe the frog on her website
