Indiana has been a pretty close state recently. Has the surge begun?

Indiana was blue in 08.

Don't remember how much Romney won it by in 12.

What is important is whether he performs better than his polls.

Sean Trende from RealClearPolitics is saying that Trump isn't hitting the numbers he needs in Kentucky for a national win.

no.

Trump will win those states big. but the larger precincts typically report last. This is smaller and suburban districts that are voting.

Expect to see trump to start out ahead in almost every swing state. Likely by large margins and then as the cities start to report, him to drop quickly.

The eastern zones of Indiana are more Republican leaning. Don't read too much into it yet.

Why it's important? Because KY is coal country. And Indiana is industrial (north In).

If his message of MAGA is truly resonating, he should outperform in those two states.

Looks like he is. This bodes well for the rust belt.
