You clearly only read what you wanted to read. Ask ANY Saints reporter and they’ll tell you the same about how Payton always wanted to play it close to the vest and it bit him and DA in the arse. It never worked, which is why, like you said, Mahomes got scooped from him.

There’s no point in trying to “hide” who you’re really interested in. People are too plugged in, agents always mouth off about teams contacting them because they wanna push their guys up. Hardly anything is a “secret” come draft day

At this point, yeah. But I will say that the mind games and playing things close to the vest and trying to hide everything was more of Payton and DA’s style, which bit them in the arse.

Nick does know who they will likely take but isn’t going to put it out there until much, much closer to the draft like last year. He and Tripp only started banging the drum for Banks until the week of the draft itself after they were adamant they were going to go Edge

How in the frick are they ever going to beat Thragg? I feel like Kirkman made him too strong? Like Mark put up a decent fight against Conquest, who was arguably stronger than Nolan, in the first fight but was still outclassed. But he at least made Conquest work for it, landed some blows and made him bleed. 2nd time, Mark was stronger but lacked the battle experience so he just choked his arse to death. But Thragg? They were nothing to him. Nothing.

I guess he had to be that strong so all the Viltrumites couldn’t just gang up and overthrow him but GOD DAMN. Mfer is a demon

So does Kamara but I never hear people bitching about that. Who cares if he falls down after a 20-25 yard catch? How many WRs actually get chances to make something happen after the catch?

With most defenses playing two high, and a lot more zone, there’s less chances for big plays or a ton of YAC anyway. But you’re also a miserable frick that listed every player mocked to the Saints as a player you would melt if they selected.

I just don’t see how they would take Bain considering how much of an outlier he is with measurables. I think that’s a smokescreen.

There are very few positions they will budge on with measurables and Edge is not one of them.

I think they’re going to take Tyson or Downs and probably going to be Tyson
