Your vague recollection is incorrect. There were no protests. None. It is all in the head of progressives like Tigerdev (who remembers much hatred being directed at President-elect Obama). Sorry, but it did not happen. However, if you can cite an instance from online I will cede the point.
Just correcting the record (and not getting paid .04 for it).
ETA: I would anticipate there was a lot of vitriol directed at BHO in social media and on anonymous message boards like this. Because people can be absolute scum when they have complete anonymity.
