Fairfax County is the most corrupt county in Virginia when it comes to elections. They engage in the most massive fricking voter fraud in the state.

Trump was up in VA for a while in 2020 and then around 10-11 PM the votes started going hard the other way

I'm not sure they have to engage in fraud. That area is so dependent on government largesse they will vote Dem for the next two centuries.

Oh, there’s no doubt that Fairfax County will always go Democrat. But, outside of NOVA and a few urban areas in the south, Virginia is a very Red state. Without NOVA, Republicans would win Virginia in every election cycle.
The problem is that fraud in Fairfax County is used by the Democrats to offset how Red the rest of the state is. Alexandria, Arlington, and Prince William are other Dim strongholds, and they have been known to engage in frickery, but not like Fairfax County.

Correct. NOVA and Richmond are heavily blue and heavily populated. The Tidewater area is fairly purple overall but might lean slightly blue. Charlottesville is very blue but also not that populated. The rest of the state is solidly red.
