Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is set for surgery to repair a fracture in the thumb on his throwing hand, a clean fracture that knocks him out more than a month. He’ll have a firm timeline after the procedure

Bucs WR Chris Godwin suffered a hamstring strain Sunday night and likely will miss some time, per source. There's optimism it's not a major injury, but Godwin could be sidelined a few weeks.

49ers RB Eli Mitchell, who was quickly ruled out yesterday with a knee injury, is expected to miss some time, source said. He has an MRI this morning and that will determine the full extent. But Mitchell looking at a few weeks (or more) on the sidelines.

49ers’ RB Elijah Mitchell is expected to be sidelined about two months with the sprained MCL that he suffered Sunday at Chicago, per league sources.

Hopefully picking up Jeff Wilson before the games started Sunday pays off.

The lead RB position in SF has good value if you can get the right one. The issue is picking the right one

Jeff Wilson should clearly be the man in SF, so naturally, TDP will get 20 carries.

Well that’ll be Deebo. He will get all the high value touches out of that backfield, especially in the red zone. The nominal starter at RB is likely good for 50 yards rushing and maybe 1-2 dump offs per game.

Between Deebo and Lance stealing carries, I just don't see much value.

Of course, that didn't stop my dumb arse from drafting Mitchell.

Brutal.

@Lunatik: I though the IR was a 3-week thing?

4 weeks. That's why it makes no sense to keep him off IR if he's out 6-8 weeks.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen is unlikely to play Thursday night against the #Chiefs, but there is optimism after tests that his hamstring injury isn’t anything long-term, per sources. Next game is Sept. 25 against the #Jaguars, two full weeks after the injury.
